Here is how I often look during my “photo shoots” see my assistants – they work for cheap.
You will notice a lot of my “GAUDY GOLD” went to black – but, once in a while I do branch out and use another color – Yes, Everyone teases me about my “black” – in Blogland , my kids friends , relatives, etc.
GOSH !
Did I do allll these projects……
YES
…and I didn’t post everything….
Do I have anything left for 2010 –
YES, do not worry !
I would have posted BIGGER pictures….but, I didn’t want to tie up too much of your time. I would have posted links but, I am lazy – People, I have a full time job….I have many an excuse……

Wow! Kammy - that's a lot of cans of paint - hope you wear a respirator. Can't wait to see what you do in 2010. No wonder I never find much in the thrift stores in Ft. C. You must sweep through just before I get there! Take care and have a great week. Sally
Oh everything looks SO much better in black.
Thank you for the heads up about the video. I think I have fixed it. (Fingers crossed.)
I have asked many this question: Do you spray or brush your black paint?
Beautiful projects...looking forward to seeing more this year!
Great job Kammy, I don't know how you do it with a full time job. I can't wait to see what you have for us this year.
Sandy
I also like black but have gotten smitten with white lately. Love all your projects, you were very busy. I want to thank you for following my blog. I have added your blog to my blog roll as a thank you.
You inspire me. I too have an obsession with black spray paint, but hey, they don't call it a 'miracle in a can' for nothing.
All of your transformations were wonderful for 2009, now I can't wait to see what you do for 2010.
See Kammy does do other colors and they all good fabulous! You got tons done and you did a great job! Thanks for letting us peek in.
Blessings and Hugs...Tracy :)
I love all of your projects. They look great. I don't understand the Italian Seasoning though, am I missing something?
The Italian seasoning is a "before" because I stole the lid to make my pumpkin tassel (the next picture )
I am wayyyyy to lazy to write stuff and add links.....LOL !
Kammy
You completed a lot of awesome projects in 2009! I remember reading a lot of the original posts and hoping to someday have your painting/furniture transformation ability. I look forward to seeing your projects of 2010!
Incredible! I know you are proud of your projects! I just adore those cute lamps. I look forward to 2010 and what is in store
wow..you did a LOT in '09 and every single one of them is wonderful. I am still in love with black ....
I, too, tried to make my post not so long with too many photos. Don't want folks losing interest with too long a post. :O)
You did great and i'm looking forward to seeing what you do this year.
Kammy these are all great projects. I picked up an idea, definitely! I think you've inspired Pat's first 2010 project. I just have to wait for the January thaw...or Spring!
Wow Kammy, you have been busy too!! Really great projects here. I like the desk set painted black. Hmmm, I have a set similar and never thought to paint it black but yours looks so great! I enjoyed seeing all your project photos. Looking forward to what you come up with for 2010!
I have really enjoyed each step of the way through your projects! :o)
The red chair is my all time favorite.

My goodness! What a long list of projects! And all the "afters" look so good--you've gotta be proud.
Don't let yourself get teased away from black--it always looks great. :)
WOW!! Inspirations galore!! I found the twin to your bench/stool in Eaton. I didn't get it for a "steal" as you seem to, but am happy with it anyway. It is going to get a new top soon. Maybe I'll even paint it when the weather gets WARMER!! We need a countdown to spring.
Kammy, those are ALL great projects! Wow, girl you were really busy in 2009. THanks for sharing. This really shows the power of paint, once again.
It's amazing what a little paint can do. It all looks great! :-)
What great before and after photos! I am so inspired I am going to be out thrifting soon to look for pieces to experiment with.
A few questions - Do you have to strip the varnish or sand it off for the paint to stick? Do you paint the furniture with spray paint as well? Do you prime first? I know, nosey Nellie here but I would love some tried and true advice.
Ahhh... I LOVE all of the projects you completed! They are SO gorgeous!
You're so funny! Talented too!! Great transformations :)

Kammy of Blackwood Cottage!
Really everything looks great..
Now about that seasoning..was that in there to see if we were paying attention?? :)
Just read the answer!
You have been busy! It all looks better painted.
Let them tease you all they want. Your black is beautiful. And I understand about the job thing. Mine isn't full time but it still takes away to much of my blogging time....
beautiful before & afters....kind of hard to follow with no posts from you! i would enjoy that alot more since we're left to guess alot or wait for replies :(
I think you are definitely the queen of paint, black or otherwise.
Your projects rock.
Wow! You were a busy lady! I love the black and if it works. . . whose to say anything about it.
Loving it. Can't wait to see what you do in 2010.
Kammy,
You were a busy girl!!!! I didn't post any projects as I only did a couple. I decorate more than do projects. But this is the year for projects. Unless I can come up with some excuse. And boy am I good at excuses. Loved all your projects this past year. I want that hall tree for my house.
Kim
You accomplished so much, Kammy! And everything turned out so nicely....Christine
Whoa! 2009 was a busy year! I missed a few of your DIY projects but each one is awesome! Every single thing looks so much better. Great job!

You are good Kammy! For having a full time job and kids still at home, my hat's off to you and your fabulous projects! You Go Girl! Hey, I think I saw some red! Hugs, Cindy
Kammy everything is really beautiful you made this past year!
The black paint gives such a crisp and fun look. Love it all!
It is amazing what paint can do - you've got such a great eye!
You are amazing. There isn't one thing you showed that I don't just love. I am so grateful to you for telling me about Krylon's oil rubbed bronze paint. I am on a roll with that stuff!
Oh my! So many amazing projects. I love black too---including my wardrobe--and get teased constantly.
Great finds too! Love the hutch and the entertainment cabinet. You are truly inspiring, girl!!
Cannot wait to see what all you paint black for 2010....waitin' patiently. I think they ship all the black paint to your area because there is NEVER any around here in my neck of the country! hehe
Wow! Great work! Paint is a wonderful thing, isn't it?
Kammy those are all great projects! Isn't it great to look back and see all that you've done.
Manuela

Not too bad here weather wise. We were a good 4 degrees Celsius warmer yesterday than what we usually would be. Just about tropical for us. El Nino they call it.
Kammy, your transformations are outstanding!!
I love them all!
Enjoy!
All the best,
Eileen
PS ~ I'm always so nervous to paint furniture but yours looks wonderful! Do you ever have a problem with anything?
I heart ALL of your makeover projects! I adore black, it's so easy to decorate with and is a timeless classic, in my opinion. I especially love when it is distressed.
I just wanted to say (a Looong overdue) Thank you for following my blog. Please overlook my terrible manners and know that I am grateful you found something interesting enough to become a follower. Have a great day!
It's amazing what a little paint can do. Looks great. I cannot wait to see what you do next.
Hi Kammy, I just found your blog and have been reading a few of your posts. What kind of paint do you use for your furniture? Any tips for avoiding drips?
