“Oh give me a home where the buffalo roam and the deer and the antelope play….” I feel a bit like Sheila (be a sweetie !) at Notesongs blog……I did play the violin for 10 years-maybe we could do a duet… I STINK at singing….LOL ! Anyway, back to our subject…I am not showing you buffalo…but – there is a ranch north of me that has a large herd – another time… and no deer today - just a super large herd of antelope. Antelope is not in season (other wise you would not see such a large herd). I have seen antelope allot in the last few weeks but, I never have my camera ! My hubby called me the other day and told me where they were and I quick jumped in the car and headed out – just about 5 minutes away….anyway I got there and they were super close and I took a ton of pictures – I then looked to see what they looked like, etc… and I DID NOT HAVE MY MEMORY CARD IN THE CAMERA – arrrrrggghhhhhhh. So I went back home and got it and then of course the deers – I mean antelope had walked further from the road – I think they didn’t like me :o( I told them I wasn’t going to shoot them – only by picture – jeeeeeeeshhhh !
Enjoy !
I wish I would have had that blasted memory card the first time, as I would have gotten lots of pictures showing there fluffy butts – they are really cool !

No memory card? Oh can you imagine if this was a trip of a lifetime or a special event. That never occurred to me because I load my photos to the computer through a USB cable.
You can join my singing group. What should we call ourselves? The Howling Cats?
Don't you hate when that happens! You have the perfect shot...and no card! Atleast they were still there when you came back! I enjoyed seeing them.
I've done that too!
Near or far, these are great shots.
Hahahha!! I love your comment about their fluffy butts :-)
Bummer about your memory card, but at least you managed to get some nice shots.
We don't have antelope around here, but we have deer. I saw one last week when I was out cross country skiing. They're so graceful, and seem to just vanish into the trees when they see you coming.

Now, Kammy, sing "Home, sweet home". I love Colorado and its sights. Proud to call it home! Sally
You did good with the pictures anyway. I can't carry a tune in a tin bucket.
I live in an urban area so these pictures are just surreal to me! Thank you for sharing :)
Living out in Central Oregon's High Desert provides us with some pretty amazing sights ---- you have a few of your own!
I think your right about them not liking you. If you look closely, the more pictures your took, the number of antelope looking at you increased. LOL.
I seriously think that song is going to be playing in my head all day today;-)
Blessings,
Jilly
Wow, no kidding that is a herd. I can't believe they were still there when you returned but looks like you caught them at 'mealtime' right????LOL. Great pictures.
What a treat it must be to see scenes like that!
The shots you got are beautiful. I use memory cards all the time and one is always in my camera.
NOT! I have done the same thing as you. :(
They are still great shots - memory card or not!
Thanks for making the trip back to get the card just the same! The shots were incredible!
Oh wow Kammy! What beautiful shots and what a view! Thanks for sharing...Christine
When we lived in in Wy my mom visited from Germany. She said, look at all the canteloup! LOl
Come sing with me. We can scare the coyotes! The fox will just think we're funny and play a hide and seek game. I feel lucky if I see one antelope a year around here, but I do get to see buffalo on the way to Greeley at the big dairy (they are the owners hobby).
Thanks for sharing!
You did get some great shots, Kammy, and I really loved seeing the landscape around you. Stunning!!
xoxo

Oh how neat Kammy! Your pics are just awesome, but hey girl, where's all your snow? Hugs, Cindy
your pictures are amazing! that must have been so cool to see!!!
Hi Kammy! Oh, I think your singing is very nice! :) Oh, I hate it when that happens! Doesn't it just make you mad? There were so many of those little boogers! Even far away - it's a pretty sight!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
I hate that we missed the fluffy butts! I'm pretty sure my husband would salivate over this picture...the hunter in him would be so envious. The nature lover in me appreciates the beauty (love those mountains). Welcome to the "shouldawouldacoulda" club. You're in good company!
Absolutely fantastic photography! I got a kick out of it not 'being antelope season'...I was just posting the other day that doves disappeared miraculously during dove season...you so have that right...the animals know!!
My Wednesday post & sketch can be found HERE. I invite you to stop by for a visit if you can find time in your busy day.
Really enjoyed your outdoor post today. So many great shots of the antelope.
Hi Kammy,
You must live up in N.Colo. Very cool that you are only 5 minutes away from seeing these guys!
Happy Outdoor Wednesday!

Hi Kammy,
How many times have I gone to take that perfect picture with no memory card? I feel your pain, but you got some great shots anyway. What a giant expanse of land and majesty. Wow. You live in a gorgeous place.
Maryrose
PS I can't sing either and I can't play the violin so there you are. You have talent :)
Kammy what gorgeous ansd scenic views! Just so breathtaking.
Blessings to you my friend.

"Where seldom is heard, a discouraging word" --Great photos. Girl, you need a new memory card. ( I always load my photos on the computer and then erase them on the camera.) I can't play an instrument, but I can carry a tune. We could duet! --Delores

Include me in for the singing group called the Howling Cats. Too funny! Grand images of deer roaming the countryside.

We all need some fluff in our lives...next time double check for memory card! :) Thanks for sharing! I always take pics of the wildlife in our backyard....just deer and turkey in my part of the country!
What wonderful photos anyway Kammy. I'm so impressed. How wonderful to have them so close to home and be able to see them on a regular basis.

Very interesting. I have never seen anything like this. I love the openness of the prairie. I have forgotten my memory card before as well. Not much fun!
Wow! That is amazing. Sorry you missed the first shots. :-)
G'morn, Kammy ~ I have a memory card but no idea what the heck to do with it ...
Your pics are wonderful.
TY for your sweet notes, I am doing much better daily now.
Have a beautiful day ~
Hugs, Marydon
Whoa! Look at all that deer!
Evan far away they are very cool pictures! Thanks for taking the time to run over there and take them for us!!
I have done that with my memory card too....way to often!! Great pictures of the antelopes...
Good morning Kammy.
Glad you came back for the tutorial on he baby shoe.
re the Bible, It is actually mine from growing up. My folks gave it to me in 1957. What is funny is, they did not even go to church, and my Dad was not a Christian till many years later.
I have, however, age a book before. It is very easy. A lot of it is just mauling things to death, sanding a little and then adding paint. =0)

Thats incredible!!! I haven't noticed where you live but I am in Yavapai County AZ. We have antelope as well... but I haven't seen half of the amount you got in that shot at one time. Truly beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
