I’ll show you my Roosters !

 Barb\

Darn that Barb at Bella Vista…I like roosters but, I didn’t have any…Barb made me shop…so I here is what I found.

026

25 cent little rooster plate….at the GW.

018

Rooster cookie jar – 1/2 price for 6 bucks at ARC. Do you see a glance at my re-modeled kitchen….just waiting for one more appliance before I can show it off….It was a complete re-gut down to the studs- we did 90% of the work ourselves.

035

Our neighbor just gave us a rooster , his name is Oscar– see he has no tail feathers (somebody wasn’t very nice to him)  he is a Polish chicken – look at that hair cut !

030

This is our only chicken, Peggy– so she needed a “man friend” , LOL !  She layed a whole bunch of eggs before Oscar came – I hate to break the news to her that they will not hatch…..at least she is practiced now !

Hugs ~ Kammy

I love the roster plate! Good ole GW does it again. I’ve been trying to keep myself out of GW…..I need to cut back. My birthday is the weekend though and I think I deserve a little GW shopping….right? I love your Polish roster too. That’s great that your neighbor gave it to you! I guess that’s another perk of having a “Small Home in the Country”!

Oh my I can't believe this...I collect those plates...I have been hunting these on the internet for over a year and have got a three plates and three saucers. Still looking for some more...so if your interested in selling this plate or swapping for another rooster item I would be happy to. I have been looking for a platter now. My husband's grandmother is where I saw this pattern and she had a plate and some saucers so since then I have been hunting these everywhere.

Oh goodness the rooster...I have been telling hubby I wanted some on our little farm. We have a goat farm and I want a couple of chickens and roosters to add on to our farm.

Love the cookie jar...I have also gotten so into roosters and have to get my post ready for tomorrow.

Happy hunting!

If you tell me that rooster in the kitchen is a Fitz & Floyd for that price I will cry.
Nice that you are coming over to the rooster "dark side". Once you start with them there is no going back to being roosterless. (not a word I know)

Kammy.............oh, girl, did I make you buy roosters?! Well, you can give me the rooster cookie jar to make up for it!!!!!!! Oh, I love that. You are the queen of the great deals....I mean it. I am going to drag my sweet hubby in here to see all your finds!

Thanks for being such a wonderful part of the rooster party, Kammy!!!!

Hugs, Barb

Enjoyed your rooster post. I've been keeping my eyes open at the thrift stores for rooster related items this past couple of weeks but didn't come up with anything. I do have a couple already in my kitchen that I've got to take pictures of for the party (nothing like waiting until the last minute!!)

Love your roosters!!! Even the real one. Can't wait to see your finished kitchen. I need to do my rooster post. But I still need to take photos. I have to wait till I get home from work. I'm such a procrastinator.

What cute Roosters...and a REAL LIFE CHICKEN??!!! I would love to have some chickens..and a Rooster. I used to love waking up to them in the morning. I could hear them clear across the valley. First one would crow and then the next further away, and then the next and so on..until ours would crow again! How I miss it all!

I like that you have the real thing!!

The cookie jar is gorgeous. I had one once but it wasn't nearly as pretty as yours.

Have a great weekend!

Hi Kammy,
WOW! I don't have the words to express what I thought when I saw your cookie jar! STUNNING comes close. What is the brand and does he have name? It looks like a rooster of mine and he's a fitz and Floyd. I MUST find your cookie jar. Thanks for sharing and DO enjoy your view. My summers as a child were spent and the grandparents in Montana. When you walked out the kitchen door, the view which felt like a stones throw close, was the Rockies...BEAUTIFUL!

Hi Kammy, Thanks for visiting. You have a nice start now with roosters. When you find one that speaks to you, just grab it. Have a great day, Debbie

What a neat little plate. I've got all kinds of roosters around the house but I've had too much going on to join in. Maybe next time.

Hope your surgery goes well. You'll have to tell me all about it.

& your Oscar does have quite the hairdo! Wonder if Peggy likes his "do"?

If you're not tuckered out...hope you stop by my rooster party :o)

(also ope that your recovery is a speedy one after your surgery...my hubby had robotic heart surgery to replace the stretched chordei in a heart valve...absolutely wonderful...recovery was less than 1/2 the time of a traditonal open heart surgery! He was back at work about one week later!)
