My affair with Craig….

My Affair with Craig………

Yes, I admit I have been having an affair with Craig – that is Craigslist…. My hubby banned me from him for a while….but the temptation was so strong – I had to visit him in secret. The last time I visited him was a couple of weeks into my recovery from my recent surgery….don’t worry I didn’t lift a thing.  This is what I scored and I can hardly wait to sand and paint….I still have to wait about 2 weeks for lifting….and I am going crazy. The following pictures I got from Craig –so the quality isn’t the same as mine – I still love Craig. I think Craig used his cell phone….he is a poor but, a free man.

Each piece was $25 bucks – I love it !

Sorry, about the slow blog postings  but, it has been 20 degrees here and we got a foot of snow on Sunday – now why I didn’t take pictures is beyond me….Also, still taking it easy from the surgery ….Ok, Ok – I will admit, I HAVE BEEN LAZY !!! Ever feel like that ??

I am going to link up to my pal Leigh at Bloggeritaville for her Thrifty Thursday

Wonderful pieces! I have the desk (minus the bookcase hutch, which I always wanted) and the tall, slim dresser back at my parents house. I'm hoping my Mom remembers that she said I would get them when they move into smaller digs in town in a few years (and that she won't give them to her favorite grandchild)! I've always loved them. So, you finish them first so I can learn from you!!

What fabulous pieces. I have yet to find a single thing from "Craig". I think he avoids this area with anything good. I would paint them white or black or maybe a very soft blue. Hugs, Marty

Great pieces of furniture. Never bought from Craigs's. Looking forward to seeing what you do with them. A Foot of snow?!?! I had to go back and see where you are from. Wow! I am not a Winter person. 61 and pouring rain here. Please don't rush yourself - even when the Dr. says you are released, take your time!

Oh, I would've been all over those! I love French Provincial furniture. I hope you get back to full-strength soon, so we can see you work your magic on those pieces. By the way...I have a thing with Craig, too.

Can't wait to see the transformation of your fabulous finds!!

I predict you will paint them black. I never find anything good on our Craigslist.
Maybe I will try again after looking at this. Sigh.

I'm lovin' Craig too and sadly, my husband cringes whenever I whisper Craigs name. He gives me what I need and for oh so little in return.

You scored girl!!! Can't wait to see them painted black. They would go perfect in my bedroom. lol. Enjoy your cold weather. It's been like winter here in SoCal too. But no snow. Just winter like temps.

These pieces are beautiful.
We don't have this kind of stuff on our Craig's list.

I presume that is a fancy computer desk? or is it an anything goes shelf unit with drawers under? In any case, it is lovely. I can think of many uses for it in my studio.
Don't feel lazy, just post when you feel like it.
Blessings, Star

Kammy,

First things first, hope you are doing ok.
I thought with the title that you were coming clean about something that perhaps should not be blogged about. LOL. Craig...HA! WEll what can I say, with Craig you really scored. I mean homerun. I imagine with a deal like that you were gasping for air. Ok, I will quite now. But really, what a good deal ! I cannot wait to see what you do with it. Feel well, stay warm!
Thanks for participating in Thrifty Thursday this week! Some great finds, my friend!
Hugs!
