Pretty dust collectors - armed with my spray paint and I did not use black !!

Parden my dusty pictures – I was feeling like my ol self this weekend and I found lots of treasures in my garage that I bought early this summer ! I got out my spray paint and you all know what happened..

After reading other girls blogs and finding out about the 90 % off sale at Hobby Lobby (this was about 2 months ago …) I thought surely there isn’t anything good left at my store…. Until I found these 3 dust collectors…they were normally priced at $24.99 and I got them for $2.49 each…..in a bright and shiny gaudy gold….You all know how I just love gold – NOT !

008 I looooooooooooove Krylon Oil Rubbed Bronze better………… 064

049I found this goodie holder at the thrift store for $3.50 (HALF PRICE DAY ) …with new price tag still in place for $25.00 – it was a Christmas item…and looky, looky my favorite gaudy gold – NOT ! I used Oil Rubbed Bronze and I now am officially out and I had more item to finish today…..drats !061

076 I will unveil the shelf unit this is sitting on next week , as it still needs some tinkering to be finished.  Also I got to figure out what to stuff my new stuff with…I might have to go shopping – man , I hate to shop……..LOL !

050 White catch all basket – with a pop of my Orphan Annie Red…..

069

It’s a catch I bought for $3.00 at the thrift store – but what will it catch ??

I worked on some furniture this weekend and I am almost finished…I hope to post about that adventure next week !

I am linking to Susan at http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/  for other great changes , super bloggers have made !

Hugs ~ Kammy

Hey Kammy! When I woke this morning I was finally feeling better. I hope it will be smooth sailing from here on. I had such a hard week at work and I had to take John to the ER last weekend. It all got to me.

I left all the Reese's at work lock in my drawer. I wish I had one now. :-)

This is the first time I've turned on my laptop today. I'm doing laundry and pulling out my warm clothes. It has turned cold so quick. Cleaning out my closet.

My 'paint box' works pretty good since I paint in the garage. It keeps all the paint in. I learned that from working as a painter in a factory years ago. Painted car parts.

I still haven't gotten any of my projects completed. I can't wait until I feel like myself again and the doctor gives me the okay to start lifting again. I'm trying to be a good girl! heehee

I'm already out of paint and have to get more. I found a can of pink and a can of lilac paint in John' shed. I'm wondering if I can do anything with it. Hmmmmmmm!

Love ya!
Pat

I love the oil rubbed bronze color that you painted those pretties with! And that pop of red on that basket too. The title of your post is funny--I totally expected you to have used black! You surprised me!

Hi Kammy! Oh, you've been busy! I'm so glad to hear you're feeling so much better! I love everything you bought and the gorgeous transformation you did on them. Is the dark color a rub on paint or is it a spray paint? It's beautiful! I love that little basket you painted red too. Oh, and I love your little stamp at the bottom of all your pictures. How'd you do that? :)
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

All look really nice but I like the oil rubbed bronze. I haven't heard of it. Is it a spray or a rub on??
I have many unfinished painting projects and now it has turned too cold!! Well, it supposed to hit 60 for a couple days this next week. I'll have to get busy!

Nice transformations Kammy! As you know...I love the oiled bronze finish too!!

But I have to admit I still like some gold finishes as well, and don't think the gold finish on your finials looks gawdy at all. But of course they also look great in the bronze too!:)

Hope you're having a nice Sunday!

Hugs,
Sherri:)

I'm having a fall giveaway, if your interested...
I'd love for you to come by and check it out!!

Also FYI, I have laughed so many times remembering the funny self photo you took when you were remodeling your kitchen. It has given me a chuckle or two this past month.
