Outdoor Wednesday – In my front yard….

6-13-09 027 6-13-09 015 Boy the weather has bee crazy in Colorado…. Look at the crazy sky  – we have had thunderstorms for about 9 days straight..We also have had some tornados….very odd for us.

6-13-09 029 My 14 year old loves to grab my new camera and take pictures of the sky – I am glad she does, cuz I think they are cool !

6-13-09 032  This is our little wagon in the front corner of the yard.

6-13-09 033

I can hardly wait for this rose bush to bloom… Things happen a little later here with the altitude and the long winter.6-13-09 095

6-13-09 096

This view is looking west …..

6-13-09 1016-13-09 107

This leaf is from our Aspen tree, pictured above….The trunks are white and they turn the best colors in the fall. 6-13-09 121 6-13-09 005

Here I am right after work one night….planting some wee little Colorado Blue Spruce….I didn’t even change from my work clothes ! The ground is so wet from the rain and I wanted to take advantage ! Anyways, clothes wash when dirty, right ?

Love the buckboard! And I know all about those wild skies...last Sat. evening there was a funnel cloud about 4 miles east of here. It was just before I came home from town in a hurricane-like rain. I'm ready for hot and DRY. How about you?

What a BEAUTIFUL view you have! And you must have a "bazillion" buds on that rose bush. I couldn't even count them all. When it blooms, it should be spectacular!

Wish that my roses looked as healthy as yours. Be sure to share a picture of it in bloom. We have had a lot of thunderstorms too. Crazy crazy weather....global warming????

Hi Kammy,
I love the pretty pics! Those stormy skies look pretty ominous! We've had some beautiful weather this last week in the mid-70's to low 80's but it's getting rainy now, must be coming from the West! Love the cute pic of you, hugs, Cindy

well aren't you just the cutest!!! My parents have a wagon on the farm like yours...mom filled it with dirt and planted portulaca in it...it looks incredible!!!
your yard is very pretty...such a nice view!

I love a good storm but I must also say that we don't get severe weather very often. Not the crazy tornado seasons or anything like that. Just some high winds, thunder and lightning.
Your wagon is great. We would love to put one at our cabin. No horse to pull it just the wagon.

Kammy, What a beautiful yard and view! I envy you! Colorado is our favorite place to visit and I love your blue spruce tree by the wagon! Nothing, in my opinion, is more beautiful than your aspen trees in the fall! Your pictures make me want to get back to Colorado ~ and soon! It has been at 100 degrees here in central Texas for over a week now ~ I think I need a break!
Keep sharing your views ~ at least I can dream about being there!
Wishing you a beautiful day,
linda

We are having that same kind of weather here in Idaho! Everything is pretty and green right now, even the little weeds that are popping up right along side of the other plants. . .I'm not complaining though, it's really pretty. . .Have a great day!

i noticed your comment over at karen's (some days are diamonds) and noticed that you're from colorado. you never know who might be your neighbor so i came over for a visit.

what beautiful pictures. i love our sky here and you're right, it's been worth watching these past couple of weeks. i live near southlands in aurora that got hit by one of the tornados. i posted a fairly decent picture of what it looked like from my house.

i love your view and the wagon you have. i would love to have a piece of property in the country. i would imagine it's a little piece of heaven.

anyways, nice to meet you. i'll stop by again.

What a beautiful place to live! I love that buckboard in the front yard, it fits the area so well and adds great character. We have been having extra gloomy weather, but nothing as exciting as what your having!

OK, rub it in! You can grow Peonies. One more item in the "pro" column for buying a cabin in Colorado!!!
Someday . . .

You live in such a gorgeous area. I can't get over the views you have from your yard! I am spilling over with jealousy right now and anticipation, as these photos make me more anxious for my trip to Vail later this year. Also, can I just tell you how much I LOVE that little wagon? I have always loved pieces like this and the one you own is so so beautiful. Thanks for including it! :)

Crazy weather all over the USA with lots of heat waves. We are on Hilton Head SC this month and we had a really bad storm 2 nights ago. Lots of trees down and then another storm last night that was rocking the house. Now they say it will be 100 on Friday. So much for ocean breezes. I love the wagon in your yard. So charming. Looks like your daughter is having fun with the new camera and looks like you were having fun gardening too. Stay safe if more storms come.

I love aspen trees. Reminds me of when I lived in Utah. I have a son who loves taking photos of clouds. Especially like the ones you've shown. He loves weather & hates living in SoCal as we don't get much weather variance. Every once in awhile we will get a thunderstorm & then he is in heaven. Your photos (and daughters) are perfect.
