IT IS OFFICIAL – MY ANNOUNCEMENT TO THE PUBLIC – I AM A DISHAHOLIC !

Please ladies give me some intervention ….I am now officially a DISHAHOLIC ! I know I have admitted this before…but now I am over the edge !  Remember  a couple months ago when I  had an empty cupboard…it is no more. My hubby has told me “No More Dishes !) so my brain is a working overtime…what’s a girl to do – Please don’t say No ! …I came up with a good idea for my small home in the country….I have a wonderful little “shed” built on concrete and it is mine….for storage – it stays dry and clean like a storage shed….I need to clean it out again anyway. I have about 4 or more 18 gallon tubs of video tapes from when my kids were little…..clear them out and I have major dish storage, Yeah  Me !

Here are some pictures of my collection, Pleeeze don’t tell the hubby – I don’t think he knows….LOL ! I counted about 22 different sets…I think I am set  because, there are 26 weeks in a year….

This was my empty cupboard…..

These are still in my car….blame it on Marty at A stroll True Life… See her latest tablescape…..6-5-09 008

Marty’s fault…. I just bought them last night….

blog stuff 052

Remember this set of Mikasa ? I went back into the store and found more dinner plates (I only found 3 two weeks ago !) Yeah Me !

You will have to meander through my blog to see all my other collections because, I am too lazy to post them and its Saturday and I have tons to do….

Have you counted your sets of dishes…don’t cuz it is Scary !

Hugs ~ Kammy

p.s. I haven’t shown anyone my Thanksgiving dishes or Christmas dishes…..I am scared…..

Oh Kammy, this is just too great!!! I love all the pretty sets you have, and of course I am thrilled that you found the Pfaltzgraph. I just LOVE mine and I know you will love yours. If you get a chance look at your loose cow post, I asked you a question. I don't have that many sets, but the way I'm going I may get there. I love all of yours. Hugs, Marty

Sorry to tell you this Kammy but there are 52 weeks in a year, at least in Canada there is. You have a ways to go.
Hubby will have to understand.

Hey Kammy, I love your dishes, they are so pretty!! I am working very hard to become a dishaholic too!! You are so lucky to have a little shed for extra storage!!

I am a little behind on checking out everyone’s post. I have been so busy this last month, and I have not had much computer time in the evenings. Thank you for tagging me, I will definitely complete my challenge.

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend, Nicole

I fear blogging has caused a lot of us to become dishaholic's. Or at least admit that we are. I keep trying to find spots to hide all my dishes. But I've now run out of space. And I just cry at the sets of dishes I sold on ebay before blogging. I totally regret selling them now. See, you are not alone. We should start a support group. lol. Can't wait to see your "holiday" dishes. I have about 4 different Christmas sets and a Thanksgiving set enough for 24.

Uhhh, we already have 3 sheds...one more than what our city actually allows so I don't think the shed idea will work for me.

I have a long way to go to catch up with you...and most of the bloggers I know. I only have 2 sets because I just simply don't have room to store them. ::pout pout::

I love dishes too. When my husband first lost his job, we were thinking about downsizing and moving into a small place. I've collected so many dishes I just knew I wouldn't be able to take them with me, but then we worked out a way to stay in our home and I'm so delighted to be able to keep my treasured dishes. I say, if there's a will there's a way. I had that very same Pfalzgraph pattern of yours in blue and white when I first got married. Love all your dishes.

Hi Kammy girl....Okay, I see you figured out how to switch to the big pictures, now it's your turn to share!!! I think I have an idea but I need to hear it from someone. Please, please, please...
I love the dishes, and the photo of your feet, after the steer got out!...Yikes! Don't worry, I won't whisper a word to your husband about your dish addiction...cause I have the same addiction, Ha!, xoxo~Kathy@ Sweet Up-North Mornings...

If you must eliminate any dishes, I'm in line for the violets! They are MY flower for February birthdays. My husband's rule is--throw something away before something new comes in. He doesn't know my rule...it's the daily newspaper that gets thrown away! We love 'em!

Enjoy it because you will reach saturation and level off. And maybe become a little pickier, at least that is the way my journey went.

My book is not scary. Francie writes Christian fiction. This story is about redemption. Give it a try.

Sunday Blessings,
Candy

Sorry to say it looks like you have a fun bug that is going around on the blog. I still only have one set in this house so I do a virtual shop every Tablescape Thursday:) My thing is tea pots and I have so many that he never even notices if I rearrange them or I buy a new one:) I live in the city so I enjoyed your country animal photos and your new header.

Hi Kammy
This is my first visit to your lovely blog.
I must tell you I love dishes myself.
We moved a year ago and I had to down size and oh how I miss so many of my dishes.I have two sets and I feel naked .
It seems silly but I love to set a table with all the trimmings and my family actually enjoys it.
So I am afraid I would not be
much help becasue I would tell you to create more storage :)
Anyway i loved my visit it was awesome.
Blessings to you and yours.
Happy Trails

Hi Kammy,
I will be of no help, I am trying to ween myself from all the dish hunting but it's not working too well. I just love those green ones at the beginning of your post. I want to ask what they are, but then I will start searching for them. Oh dear, have to join a 12 step program. Cindy

Girl, I am in the exact same spot that you are...I want more but where in the heck am I going to put them? But I have had my "thinkin' cap" on and I'll come up with something!!! You know how us junkies are! hehe! Girl, you do have some pretty dishes and we have the same taste...at least I haven't seen one dish of yours that I wouldn't like for myself!!! I know, I know...I keep waiting for the time that my honey tells me that I don't need anymore dishes...OMG, what then? Will I have to feed my addiction secretly? Hehe!

Loved your post Darlin'...thanks for coming by my frenchy studio/office today and for your sweet compliments!!!

Have a great week, my friend!

Love your new storage, Kammy. I won't tell your hubby, lol! My hubby has given up. "If you can't beat them, join them" is his new motto, so now everytime he sees something he thinks I will like, he'd say "for your tablescape". Your dishes are beautiful, hard to pick a favorite. C'mon, I know you have more that you are not showing us. LOL!...Christine
