Met Monday with a Bulletin Board

Time for another Met Monday….hosted by Susan at;

I love this bulletin board, however it is the wrong color for my studio… so I decided to change the color…

013

First I used nail hole filler, as there were some large cracks in the corners.The bulletin board was marked down to 10 bucks because of this flaw .

021

I love this filler, except it is so hard to squeeze out of the darn hole..I think I will try another brand next time. You can see I couldn’t get to the bottom so, I cut to the bottom  - Wallllllll- la !

022

I taped the board down with tape  -really good…. Then took out my can of 1 buck spray paint, painted lightly in several coats as not to get any runs…..(been there, done that, not fun)

See how well it matches the quilt I made for the wall….

051

I love how it turned out !   Now I just have to decide where to hang it !

Nicely done. It gives me really great ideas for what to do with some of those pretty frames I see at garage sales. With three young daughters - we could use some of them as bulletin boards.
