Bistro Tablescape

 025

I had to borrow items from all over the house to make this Tablescape. The Bistro sign is a TJ Maxx find ( it usually rests on top of my kitchen cabinets. The platter in the middle is Chris Madden from JC Penneys – I got it on sale for $50.00 ( which in my book is a HUGE purchase – but I just loved it and had to have it. It is super heavy and I can use it for O-so-many things ! (I look at it as an investment) JC Penneys has lots of other things to match, but they are very expensive. 009

The transferware (sp?) little plate is from TJ  Maxx and was $2.99 – it normally sits on my kitchen countertop and I switch it out with the season – I think transferware is for the seasons in-between !  It is hard to see the cool urn (Oh –can you tell I LOVE BRONZE ??) which holds a plant (which will never die – love it ) 017

The little glass butter server on top of the plates came from Ross. I love butter just as much as Paula Dean ! ( I can eat it right off the stick – I know some of you are thinking – YUCK !)

020

The little plates on top are appetizer plates from Harry and Davie –got them on clearance for a buck or two. Haven’t cleaned all the stickers off yet (gee wiz , I am busy – plus who’s gunna see..hee hee)

Chris Madden plates ( I love them but..they are light weight and I just got them from Santa and they are already chipping – Santa said he won’t buy me dishes again :o(  …) I am thinking about keeping some aside for “good” and to quit using them everyday ….  Oh, did you see my tablecloth ?? I got it at a thrift store for $2.99 !! It is very nice – don’t know what brand…. Oh and last but not least my “chargers” I stole from the wall ….are those antique replica ceiling tiles….I told you , I really need more stuff ! This was fun and if you would like to have some more fun please visit the Tablescape wonder herself – Susan at http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/ for hers as well as many other Tablescappers !!

Hugs, Kammy

What a charming bistro table! Love the tile chargers -- a terrific idea. It's so much fun to "shop the house" for tablescapes, isn't it?

First of all I love your header picture. It looks like our road in the winter but we have no mountains as a back drop!

Beautiful table setting, I love patterns in all white!

Beautiful table. I love your platter in the middle! Sometimes you just have to spend the extra bucks for something beautiful. It will make you smile everytime you see it, so definitely worth the investment!

Well you sure did a fab job of shopping your house for this tablescape! Fantastic job... just lovely.

That's a shame that your new dinnerware is chipping already. So frustrating!

But a lovely, lovely table. And a fantastic header photo, too -- wow, that's beautiful.

Hi Kammy, Thanks for stopping by my blog. I laughed when you compared tablescaping to trying on clothes! That is SOOOO true! lol! And yes, the mess you leave behind with all those clothes to hang up.

You spent a lot of time on your beautiful tablescape and it shows. What pretty dishes. I do love that massive platter from Penneys. You've pulled this all together so well with the little Bistro sign and all the great touches.

Good job. Maybe next week, I'll take a little more time.....maybe...... ;)

What a happy table! Clever ideas...like using ceiling tiles for chargers, the bistro sign. I'm looking for white dishes with some raised design on them (I don't know where in the world I"ll put them..I guess I'll have to sneak them into the house LOL!) Love the platter from Penney's. Love your blog. Peggy from PA

I love bronze as well! Great tablescape! Colorado huh? I lived there for awhile in Boulder. Can you say Blizzard! It is beautiful country and summers with that blue sky are magical. Thanks for visiting my blog, and I hope to hear more from you!

Oh Kammy you are one smart tablescaper! I love the fact that you mixed great finds from around you house to create this very inviting feel. I've tried to do the same and even cut monkey grass from the yard to use recently with a vase from another room. Way to go!

Love the bistro sign and tablescape! I love the way you displayed the black transferware dish. I found two at Home Goods and liked it so much I bought the rest from ebay (and payed a lot!) from love them. Beautiful table!

Great job on the tablescape. I loved your "butter" comment. Too funny. And I loved your tin tiles you took off the wall for your chargers. They work great. I know what you mean about the plates. I can't use my every day, every day plates for my tablescapes as they are all chipped & crazing big time. Yours at least still presentable. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Kammy...

Ohhh nooo...don't know how I missed your pretty tablescape! Sheeeshh!!! So sorry, my friend!

Oooh...I do love your Bistro tablescape!!! I love all of the pretty pieces that you used for the centerpiece! Ohhh...and your place settings are fabulous! You know, I've been eyeing those Chris Madden dishes...I just love them!!! I hate to hear that you are having trouble with them chipping...shoot, you just never know about some of the glassware nowadays! I sure am glad that you said something about them though...I'm rethinking my purchase! Hmmm...I think I'd just use them for special occasions...they really are beautiful! I love the ornate designs on them!

Okay...my favorite thing about this tablescape is...how you used the antique ceiling tins for chargers or mats!!! Girl, that is the coolest idea...so pretty!!! I'm going to keep an eye out for some of those now! Hehe!!! Beautifully done table, my friend! Thank you so much for sharing it with all of us...and I love your ideas!!!

Warmest wishes,
Chari
