Tree Plate Holder – I don’t heart you anymore….

Tree Star Plate Holder….I don’t heart you anymore….

I have owned this gaudy gold tree plate holder for years…it came with gold rimmed plates…. It felt so good to get the ORB spray paint out and give it an update….

I added some of my peppermint plates that I bought last year on clearance and added my thrift find Santa I bought this summer.

I just began decorating this weekend and my house is a wreck – I had to add on about 5 new containers for my fall decorations. I found 2 boxes of Halloween that I didn’t even use this year. I also figured out that I don’t have alot of Christmas things…..you know what that means – Drats – I have to do more shopping !

Hugs ~ Kammy

At first I was thinking, I cannot believe you are going to toss that...so glad you painted it instead! It's cute. Especially with the red/white plates.

Oh so cute, Kammy! How did people manage before spray paint? I scrolled down and read your Zorro story...funny! My granddog Paco, a chihuahua, was brought up with cats and thinks he is one...bathes himself by licking his paws even! lol Happy week!...Debbie

Yes, ORB covers a multitude of sins :o) Love those plates...I'm hoping to find something similar this week as I brave the crowds of holiday shoppers.

Feel free to link up to my 'Make it for Monday' party if you'd like.

peace.

Gee..I didn't think it was so bad before :) but I love it black with your plates. Isn't it awful what a wreck decorating makes the house? Hope you will join Deck the Halls on Tuesday!

That is the cutes plate holder...now. I would have passed it up as gold too, but now it is perfect with your little Santa. I would love to know where you got the peppermint plates. I do a lot of decorating in Candy Canes.

Hey Kammy. There's so many things with good bones but the finish is dated. This was an excellent example. I love seeing up-cycled items. Those plate and the paint color are perfect.

I must be very behind the times as I love the "gaudy gold" look & have lots of it, but I have to admit I've been trying to find ORB spray paint lately. None at Michaels or Home Depot here. :(
I'm going to try Wal-Mart later this week.

I have enjoyed seeing all your recent makeovers.

fondly,
Rettabug
