That Dang Dish Fairy !!! I do not need any dishes – as is I am really out of room…..She made me buy the Home Laughlin Romance (made around 1950) a set of 8 – minus 1 teacup for $25 bucks and the everyday Better Homes and Gardens (yes, I know they sell it at Wally World..) for about $10 bucks.

I am linking to Leah for Thrifty Thursday  and Susan for Tablescape Thursday , here are the links:

I also have a weakness for snowmen, I used to put up a small tree in the den of just all kinds of small snowmen, so cute, thanks for sharing, and yes the dish fairy makes me buy dishes too, you can run but you just can't hide...

Yes, that dang dish fairy makes us buy dishes we don't need all of the time. Guess it's better than other vices! Have a great week. Sally

Just found your blog! Great shots!

What if someone broke into your house and stole half your dishes. Then it would be a really good thing that you had some extras right. Good.

Nice post! I'm loving your snowmen, especially the salt & pepper shakers, so cute!! They make me smile!

And how could you NOT buy those dishes? So pretty and such a bargain! My husband asks me all the time "Where are you going to put all these dishes?!", and I say "When you love something you find the room for it!" (It's time to clear out a cupboard.)
Enjoy!
All the best to you, Eileen

I am just like you: I adore snowmen! They are so cute. Snowmen and penguins... always get to me and always warm my heart. :) I especially love them when they pop up in holiday themed decorations. Nothing is better than a cheerful snowman or penguin. :)

Kammy,

Your snowmen are so cute, and I love the glove idea. Now I only wish there was a 'miniature' thrift store! If there was I would have considered that fairy my dearest companion!

Great Tablescape and an excellent sense of humour!

Oh, you do crack me up! First, I love those little mittens that you slipped the flatware into...adorable. The snowman theme is very cute too. How could you pass up that set of vintage dishes...I couldn't...you did the right thing, where ever they wind up. Just think of the wonderful tablescape you can come up with in a turquoise blue theme. Fabulous!!

Kammy, that is the cutest table...love the little mittens you have the silverware in...but those snowmen dishes are what makes the table.

Marigene said...

Oops, forgot to tell you how much I feel the pain of being "forced" into buying more dishes! I have the same problem...no storage but I keep buying! It is called having a serious dishease. The pale blue are beautiful and I am looking forward to seeing them in a future TT!

The elves are messing with my puter..I was here last night but couldn't comment..
They must be related to the dish fairy who made you buy those pretty dishes!
I think I saw WHITE Napkins..so they cleaned up well?
Love that cute little setting with the mitten!
Love your snowmen...I do the powder room with snowmen..my gkids count them to make sure I put them all out!
If you are afraid of snowmen the way some people are afraid of clowns..don't use my powder room..:)

NO! I did not know that gingerbread men had an onery streak in them! No one ever told me that..and I have them all over my house! :) Maybe..I should leave them under that glass instead of hanging them under the chandelier! I mean..right over the dining room table..they could cause havoc there in nothing flat!
:):):)
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!

Love your tablescape & all the snowmen. My favorite thing is the mittens though. CUTE!!!! And I have the same problem with that dang dish fairy. I just scored a set of moss rose china, service for 8 for $10.00. Only thing missing are the tea cups and most of the bowls. But I don't care. They are still sitting in the middle of my family room as I have nowhere to store them yet.

Thanks for visiting my cloche post & leaving me a comment.
