Magazine Holders for Met Monday–from Blah to Waaaaa Laaaaa !

I think it has been forever that I have done a MET Monday..

I purchased these wood magazine units on clearance some time ago.

I of course, sprayed them with black paint.

Then I got out the scrapbook papers  and some Modge Podge – Waaaa  Laaaaa !

Even the dogs don’t like the color….

Shopping and remaking..

I found this dog dish holder at Marshall’s (yesterday) on clearance for twenty bucks…I know it was way over priced but…I loved it , well most of it.

“Hmmmmm. Mom I don’t like the color” said Cruizer…

O dear  ! What was I to do ?…maybe paint it..gee I don’t know what color I should try…maybe BLACK ????

See how much prettier it is now ? Who said shabby has to be pastel blue or white ???

I NEEDED another mirror for my living room and I found this one at the thrift store on 1/2 price day – I paid $12.50 and it is really a nice heavy mirror. ……Except, except, the  GAUDY GOLD – you know what I am going to do..Warning, Warning… to ladies that love this GAUDY GOLD – you may want to skip to the next post ….LOL ! I used ORB on this beauty !

It is so yummy now…

Met Monday Four legged Furniture and Critters !

I got lucky at the local thrift store….I was kinda bummed as I found no new dishes….dang….but low and behold I found 2 end tables for a mere $12.99 each….

First of all, I was working really fast as it was starting to rain…I must have brought the table in and out of the garage 5 times ! See Mr.Grady Tucker in the pasture…..he was wondering what I was doing ?

He was talking to the cat Zorro and said “Hey Zorro, I’m all locked up and mom is doing something with those things with four legs….go  check it out……”

“OK” Zorro said…..”he asks and I obey…….”

“Hurry up while they are holding still…..”Mr. Grady Tucker yells !

 

“Don’t worry, I think they are dead……..”Zorro replies….

 

“Mom must be spraying them for fleas….this black one is kinda cute, it reminds me of somebody……”

“See, here is the flea spray….hope I don’t have fleas…..”

“Thanks, Zorro . You are a brave cat ! Glad those new guys are dead stiffs, as I don’t want to share my pasture with anyone else….”

See my lovely spray paint table ? I think it needs some TLC too !  I should have shown you the tops of the end tables,they were yucky. The paint makes a big difference.

Metamorphosis Monday – Clean up the Craft Paint

I love to paint, but look at this mess ! I have it all in a large Longaberger basket and there is simply no organization….               

  I purchased this cubby unit on clearance through Pottery Barn…My youngest had been using it and she had adored it with stickers…. So I scraped them off and got out the black paint and I ended up with…..
