Bling Bling Holder,Ivory finds and a Material Girl

010 This heavy brass thing….I think is a fingertip towel holder for the bathroom.  I thought it could be a Bling Bling holder for my teenagers room. I let my daughter pick the color on this one.

024 Ivory finds

I found these items at the thrifty store – no spray paint needed, LOL !

A great big heavy pitcher for $3.99

A wire basket – with the new tags still in place for $1.99

A spoon rest  for $1.99

006 A Material Girl

Don’t forget to scan the craft area of the thrift store…I purchased two bolts, two different times. Here is fabric I can use.  Each for $2.99- that is a super buy.

011 013

Linen Look fabric – looks like my burlap but way softer. I have many plans for this baby.

014 016

This fabric matches my daughters room – I think there is plenty to make curtains and other things. Woo Hoo !

I have a few more large projects that I am working on , or sitting in line ready to be worked on. My youngest, starts high school tomorrow so I have been busy school shopping and such.

That is a wonderful idea for a jewelery tree for any age--keeps those necklaces from getting tangled! Love the color!

Kammy,
Great finds. Love the material. I am never lucky enough to get a whole bolt, but I was able to get the 5 1/2 yards I needed for my sofa.

Kammy,
on one of my posts you asked if i work, or just thrift all the time.=) I'm not sure i answered your question.

i own my own little gift shop. Opened it a year ago May.
It is great fun, and gives me a reason to thrift a lot.
In summer, I go to as many garage sales as i can, as in the winter here (9 months) there are none. They are a lot more affordable than thrift stores.
I also paint, teach classes, and do a variety of hand-crafted treasures. I have 6 local craft people who put things in my store. I am every much a 'support your local artist' person.

My gift shop is only open 3 days a week, so i have time for grand kids, friends, church, and of course, thrifting. =0))
It's a good life!!

Blessings,
Barbara jean
